THE RETURN by Nicholas Sparks

Trevor Benson returns from his doctoral tour of duty in Afghanistan as an injured veteran, who intends to recoup at his grandfathers home in North Carolina. Since his grandfather died a few months before, he has issues dealing with the death, and his PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder). Upon arriving at the house that was left to him by his grandfather, he finds the back door damaged and suspects someone has been in the house even though nothing has been removed. A beautiful local deputy is involved in looking into the home invasion. Trevor is immediately drawn to Deputy Natalie Masterson. He needs to know who has been staying in his house, and needs to know how to feel about the Deputy who has barged into his life while he tries to move on with his life. As is expected, Nicholas Sparks delivers with this story of Trevor learning the meaning of forgiveness and love. Thumbs up for Sparks fans. by S.M. OKelly Library Associate
